Forum Guidelines
Many of you may have noticed we are operating on a new forum. A recent web crash provided the opportunity to upgrade to a new style forum. To the people that registered on the first one... gotta' re-register and I'm sorry about that.
Eligibility
Just a few guidelines to help make life easier and to protect us from those pranksters (upperclassmen) that may try to pull one over on us. You must register to use the forum and you must be approved. Anyone can view the Forum and read the post but you had to be in the Class of 1973, Portales High School, or have been one of our teachers or administrators to "post" or "reply" to topics. That's about it.
Registering
Sign up with your REAL name as it was in 1973, first and last, choose a password (that you can remember), enter a valid email address and you are good to go. There are other fields that are optional. PLEASE follow this format. In dealing with names on this site and for a general consistency in our database use your name as it was in high school.
Ex: Jane Smith married Jasper Jones. Please register as Jane Smith. Passwords are case sensitive so if "Cool" is your password and you try to sign in with "cool"..... won't work. Screen names are also case sensitive so "Dude" and "dude" are 2 different "Dudes". Please use this format: Firstname Lastname not FIRSTNAME LASTNAME or firstname lastname. Has to be proper name with the first letter capitalized.
Additional Features
When it comes to the part of "show my email address"... don't think that your email address is going to be published. This actually means show an email button so your classmated can click it and email you. I recommend showing this button.
IMPORTANT
Put the City and State you live in. In this format: Portales, NM or Austin, TX. The city and state fields help me do a sort by state.
Privacy
NONE of the information you provide is sold to anyone or shared with anyone outside of what you give permission for in your own private settings. Your contact info will be entered into the general reunion database solely for being able to make contact with you regarding reunions.
Last thing is if you want to bypass this page in the future and go straight to the Forum then book mark the main Forum page as one of your favorite places and bypass my ramblings.
